So for a long time I stopped trying
to help the people that I am closest to. I usually send them to someone else
because it does not seem to matter the number of people you have consciously
and unconsciously helped, changed and/or guided into loving their lives and
living their dreams! Our family and friends still somehow show resistance.
It’s ok because as we grow inside
and truly love ourselves, even that changes.
This story that is intended to help
you learn and grow, is an amazing example!
I decided to break my rule last
month when someone I have been distant from for a LONG time started talking to
me and accepting my helpful little tips. I asked her if she was ready to live a
different life and would like me to help guide her there. It was the first time
I had a hint that she was really ready to learn and grow.
I told her that I would need her to
follow my plan. If you are truly willing to do this then and only then I would
help her.
She said yes!!
I put her to the test!
WE agreed to two weeks. She was to
look in the mirror, into her own eyes, and tell herself that she loved herself.
For two weeks.
Sounds petty and small? But it is
the most important thing ANYONE can do!
ALWAYS
tell yourself you love yourself in EVERY
reflection you EVER see!
This was her email back to me:
(full permission to post these emails has come
from the client for this purpose of teaching the world):
"Ok I’ll give you two weeks my
beautiful xxxx and see what happens your one heck of an example of finding the
joy out of life. I love and miss you and will keep you updated."
So we started the next morning.
Now I know when someone is truly
taking the steps I offer and I know when they are not. There are things that
happen. Things that I know will happen, things that happen to EVERYONE!
Well she
did it! She was already getting signs. Not only getting signs but recognizing
them too! THIS IS HUGE!!
She was skeptical she thought it was
petty maybe a waste of time? but she did it and the next thing I know I get an
email and this is what it said:
“Know it’s kind of weird but some
people who are never really nice have complimented me today out of the
blue. I’m not saying it’s anything it’s just weird"
Sound small? It’s not! Again its
HUGE! This is only 4 days of her saying that she loved herself in the mirror!
Giving herself the love she deserves. People and events are already starting to
transform in front of her eyes!
It’s only day 4!
At first when you start to tell
yourself that you love yourself you may hear a little voice in the back of your
head that says "no you don't". This is when you are going to argue
with it. You are going to tell this little voice, that is and has been lying to
you, "YES I DO"!!
Now remember nobody knows you are
doing this! There will be a time you will not care who knows what you are doing,
but for now you are not there and that is ok. It is sometimes at first better
not to tell ANYONE!
Why do you ask? Because when you
start to tell people they may put doubt in your head. Once doubt comes in you
stop using your own judgment. You stop your progress (just for a moment, unless
you allow it to take longer).
This time,
this moment, is about YOU!!
