Miracle Cure for Multitaskers Found? Kung Fu and More!
Reading a recent article, How Meditating Helps with Multitasking , has entered an interesting quesiton to mind. Can the simplicity of meditation prepare us for the chaos of life? Some would laugh and say, "we'll isn't that the point"? This doesn't seem evident to those beginning in meditation. Meditation seems to be to much in itself to focus on for five minutes, than a way to focus on more! Today, I would like to show you a few ways to make it a bit clearer for you to take advantage of a higher quality of life today. (Oh, this really is "Free" and "No Subscription Necessary"!!)
Here goes: Meditation has been shown by practitioners for thousands of years that stress does not affect them in the same way. More true today, than ever, as practicing meditative techniques has spread around the globe! Maybe more needed today than ever, considering the highly competitive fast passed world we have made. Those that practice meditation may find relief from the following according to a Mayo Clinic article:
Allergies
Anxiety disorders
Asthma
Binge eating
Cancer
Depression
Fatigue
Heart disease
High blood pressure
Pain
Sleep problems
Substance abuse
Anyone finding relief or assistance with any one of these would agree their quality of life would be improved greatly. Right? "But that's not all! You've also won a brand new..." Meditation has an interesting by product that it provides for us that is greater than all that though! It makes us more able to deal with stressful situations in a new way. Love using cartoons for comparisons, so let's have fun with the Kung Fu Panda final scene. (It's just too funny! You're welcome.)
Because of what Po had learned in his "training" he became malleable, able to go with the flow, take what good was available and opportunities that were presented. He no longer was stopped by fear, insecurity, or "too much". He was knocked down the great stair case and into a bowl of noodles, he used them to lasso the scroll back to him. He used the power to turn the scroll into a cookie, to will himself up an "impossible" climb. Even laughed as he received what should have been paralyzing blows from Tai Lung! This is the malleablility meditation gives us mentally! The amount of stress received within is so reduced that it just doesn't hurt as bad!
Like stretching before doing sports. You are far less likely to pull something or get injured right? When you meditate, it not only helps heal things that are stress causers within, but it makes you more "flexible" so you are less likely to "be injured" by new stress! Win, win folks.
As for my opinion on "multitasking", I think it is a horrible practice for our mind, body, and spirit in general. Meditation will help us to deal with it in a much healthier way though, if we do choose to do it. I still prefer one thing at a time, just like I put my shoes on or eat my food. Focusing my whole self on the thing at hand is a meditative way of walking my day and leaves me feeling relaxed, accomplished, and joyful. Each moment then is precious and practicly perfect to me, when I remember!
A few minutes a day is all it takes! New newsletters, tips, materials, and more being formed today at hawaiidreamscometrue.com! Hope you enjoy 5 minutes today.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
